Refund policy

Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be delighted with your purchase.
Every item is carefully checked and professionally cleaned before leaving our premises — we take great pride in ensuring all jewellery arrives in its absolute best condition.

Exchanges & Credit Notes

If your jewellery isn’t quite right, we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note.

Tatham Jewellers encourages exchanges or credit notes wherever possible, as once jewellery leaves our premises it can no longer be sold as new.
We therefore kindly ask customers to be certain before completing their purchase.

Refunds (Online Orders Only)

Refunds are available for online purchases returned within 14 days of delivery, in accordance with UK consumer law.

If you are unsure whether your order qualifies for a refund, exchange, or credit note, or if you’d like to discuss your options, please contact us — we are always happy to help.

To qualify for a refund, items must be:

• Unworn and unused
• Returned in their original condition
• Complete with all original packaging
• Sent back fully insured to our Luton address

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once the item has been safely received.

Faulty Items

If an item is faulty or develops a fault, please contact us as soon as possible.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

This applies even to items normally non-returnable, such as:

• Earrings
• Engraved items
• Resized items
• Custom-made jewellery

Non-Returnable Items (Unless Faulty)

For hygiene and customisation reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following:

• Earrings
• Engraved pieces
• Resized pieces
• Custom-made or bespoke items

This does not affect your statutory rights in the case of faults or misdescriptions.

Christmas Returns

Purchases made during the festive period may be returned until 8 January 2026.
Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Earrings remain non-returnable unless faulty.

Cancellations Policy

You may cancel your order before it has been dispatched by contacting us directly.

Once the item has been shipped or prepared for collection, our standard Returns & Refunds Policy applies.

If your order qualifies for the legal 14-day cooling-off period (online orders only), you may still return it after dispatch, provided it meets the return requirements listed above.

Important: Shop Closed Days (For Returns & Deliveries)

Our store is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Please ensure no returned parcels or personal deliveries are scheduled to arrive on these days.

Our Commitment

Please only purchase if you are confident that the piece is right for you — we are always happy to provide further photographs or information before you buy.
